Recently we have been enjoying a superdrink of whole parsley and ginger. It is very energizing and cleansing, yet still enjoyable to drink.

Parsley is packed with vitamins and minerals.  It is an excellent source of Vitamin A, several B vitamins and also Vitamin K.  It actually contains more vitamin C than most citrus fruits.  Parsley is also cleansing for the kidneys, and boosts the immune system. Recently a patient called because she couldn’t shake a cold.  Alex told her to start the parsley drink.  24 hours later we received this email:
I just wanted to let you know I tried the parsley. I’ve been drinking that yesterday, last evening, this morning, the Smart Silver and the Immuplex and I feel like 80% better. So thank you, thank you, thank you. Well, you saved me from really spiraling down. So anyway, feeling better. Thank you very much and I’m definitely gonna continue on the parsley thing.

Parsley also contains a compound called apigenin, which blocks blood flow to tumors.  A recent study showed that when rats who were exposed to synthetic progesterone (medroxyprogesterone), which is known to promote breast cancer, were given apigenin, the growth of tumors slowed and even sometimes stopped.
Parsley is very easy to grow in containers for the home cook, and is also quite inexpensive to buy.  Always, of course, get the organic.

Ginger is another super herb which promotes digestion and lowers inflammation.  Its warming qualities promote blood circulation, which can help lower blood pressure.  Studies have shown that it can reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol.  A recent study also showed that ginger decreased markers of colon inflammation by almost 30 percent. Since colon inflammation, such as that found in irritable bowel syndrome, is a known risk factor for colon cancer, it seems that ginger might be useful as a preventive.  Ginger is easily available as a root in the produce section, or as tea or powder.

PARSLEY DRINK

1 head parsley

1 quart water and ice

1 teaspoon ginger root chopped

or

2 cups water and 2 cups ginger/lemongrass tea

Place in blender or Vitamix and liquefy.  Keep in refrigerator and drink throughout the day.  The juice can be used instead of almond milk in protein drinks.

Ginger is also highly beneficial for all blood types.  Parsley is highly beneficial for O and B, and neutral for A and AB.  Enjoy!
